摘要
在全球化与信息化背景下,英语专业教学质量备受关注,传统教学模式难以满足需求,而社交媒体的兴起带来新机遇与变革。本文旨在深入分析社交媒体在英语专业教学中的应用、优势、挑战及应对策略。社交媒体在教学中的应用广泛且深入,通过平台互动、资源共享、情境模拟、自主学习及文化交流等方式,提高教学效率与质量,培养了学生的综合素质。然而也面临信息过载、学术诚信、网络安全、教学效果难评估及技术依赖等挑战。为应对这些挑战,需建立筛选机制,培养学生自律意识,加强隐私保护,提升教师素质。本文通过文献研究法及案例分析探讨社交媒体在英语专业教学中的应用及其所面临的挑战,分析社交媒体作为一种教学工具的优势和局限性,并提出相应的解决策略与建议,对社交媒体在英语专业教学中的实际应用进行深入分析,为推动社交媒体在英语专业教学中的有效应用提供理论支持和实践指导。

Abstract
In the context of globalization and informatization, the quality of English major teaching has attracted much attention. The traditional teaching model is difficult to meet the needs, and the rise of social media has brought new opportunities and changes. This paper aims to deeply analyze the application, advantages, challenges and coping strategies of social media in English major teaching. The application of social media in teaching is extensive and in-depth. Through platform interaction, resource sharing, situation simulation, autonomous learning and cultural exchange, it improves teaching efficiency and quality and cultivates students' comprehensive quality. However, it also faces challenges such as information overload, academic integrity, network security, difficulty in evaluating teaching effects and technology dependence. In order to meet these challenges, it is necessary to establish a screening mechanism, cultivate students' self-discipline awareness, strengthen privacy protection, and improve teachers' quality. This paper explores the application of social media in English major teaching and the challenges it faces through literature research and case analysis, analyzes the advantages and limitations of social media as a teaching tool, and puts forward corresponding solutions and suggestions. It conducts an in-depth analysis of the actual application of social media in English major teaching, and provides theoretical support and practical guidance for promoting the effective application of social media in English major teaching.
