Abstract

Qiu Chuji, as a key figure who personally experienced the Silk Road during the Mongol Yuan Dynasty, holds a prominent position in the creation of travel poetry along the Silk Road. His poems not only demonstrate Qiu Chuji's acute observation of natural landscapes but also reflect his inclusiveness towards diverse cultures. The travel poems he wrote not only depict the unique exotic products and scenery of the Western Regions but also portray the folk customs of different ethnic groups, and further reveal his profound understanding of Taoist thought. Qiu Chuji used travel as a medium to explore the philosophical concept of the unity of heaven and humanity in the mountains and rivers, endowing his poetry with a deeper spiritual connotation. This creative approach that integrates products, customs and Taoist sentiments makes his works an important witness to cultural exchanges along the Silk Road.
