Discursive barriers and bridging strategies in translating Chinese cultural core terms from the perspective of knowledge translation studies
知识翻译学视域下文化核心词外译的话语隔阂与融通策略研究

摘要

本文基于知识翻译学视角,以中国文化核心词外译为研究对象,采用理论分析与案例研究相结合的方法,系统审视其外译过程中面临的话语隔阂问题,旨在突破单纯的“语言转换”范式,实现深层的“知识传播与接受”。研究发现,此类话语隔阂主要根植于三个维度:概念不对等、阐释框架冲突和意识形态过滤。为此,本文提出了四项知识融通策略:深度阐释与创造性转化、译释并举与副文本构建、语境补足与话语协同,以及区分层次与动态对应,以期为提升中国话语体系的国际传播效能提供理论参考与实践路径。

Abstract

This study, grounded in the perspective of Knowledge Translation Studies, takes the translation of Chinese cultural core terms as its research object. Employing a method that combines theoretical analysis with case studies, it systematically examines the discursive barriers encountered during their translation process. The research aims to transcend the mere paradigm of "linguistic transfer" and achieve a deeper level of "knowledge dissemination and acceptance." The findings reveal that these discursive barriers are primarily rooted in three dimensions: conceptual asymmetry, conflicting interpretive frameworks, and ideological filtering. To address this issue, the paper proposes four strategies for knowledge bridging: 1) in-depth interpretation and creative transformation; 2) a combination of translation and annotation with paratextual construction; 3) contextual supplementation and discursive collaboration; and 4) hierarchical differentiation and dynamic correspondence. It is hoped that this study will provide theoretical reference and practical pathways for enhancing the effectiveness of international communication within the Chinese discourse system.
