Abstract

Song Lyrics in Paintings integrates literary and artistic elements by combining poetry with paintings. Through Xu Yuanchong’s bilingual English-Chinese translations, it successfully conveys the artistic beauty of the meaning, sound, and form of Song lyrics to English readers. Research has shown that the book employs morphological rhetorical techniques, such as character form rhetoric, punctuation rhetoric, arrangement rhetoric, and innovative symbolic rhetoric, which not only enhance the visual effect and emotional expression of the text but also provide new perspectives and methods for cross-cultural communication. By analyzing the graphic rhetorical phenomena in Song Lyrics in Paintings, this paper explores their effectiveness in cross-cultural communication and their application value in modern cultural transmission‌.
